Barcelona coach Hans Flick praised his players’ performance after their 5-2 win over rivals Real Madrid in the Spanish Super Cup final in Jeddah on Sunday evening.
Flick said in the press conference after the match, “I am very happy with the title and the five goals against Real Madrid, and the atmosphere was great.”
He continued, “I am proud of the players’ performance and how they defended together wonderfully in today’s match. We are always working on developing and improving.”
“We made some mistakes today, and we will address them in the coming period,” the German coach said.
“I also thank everyone who was with us in the management for making the right decisions.”
Barcelona’s five goals were scored by Lamine Yamal, Robert Lewandowski from a penalty kick, Rafinha (two goals) and Alex Balde in the 22nd, 36th, 39th, (45+10) and 48th minutes.Â
Real Madrid’s two goals were scored by Kylian Mbappe and Rodrygo Goes in the 5th and 60th minutes.
