WELL, IRONDALE IS NOW THE HOME OF A BRAND NEW SPORTS COMPLEX ON RUFFNER ROAD, JUST IN TIME FOR SPRING TO CELEBRATE THE OPENING OF THE RUFFNER SPORTS COMPLEX, THE CITY HOSTED A LOCAL CELEBRITY SOFTBALL GAME. YOU CAN SEE THEM THERE CUTTING THE RIBBON AND EVEN KICKED OFF ITS SPRING YOUTH SPORTS SEASON. THE COMPLEX HAS BEEN IN THE WORKS SINCE APRIL OF LAST YEAR. A PARENT WHO ATTENDED THE GRAND OPENING SAYS HE SEES THE NEW PARK AS A SIGN THE CITY IS HEADING IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION. THIS MEANS THAT THE CITY ITSELF IS GOING IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION, YOU KNOW, AND IT MAKES ME WANT TO STAY IN IRONDALE.
