Notes:

  • Kent State tees off their third tournament of the Spring and eighth tournament of the 2024-2025 season on Sunday. The Flashes’ best team finish to par this season was a 6-over-par 870 at the Red Raider Invitational last September. The team’s highest finish in terms of standings has been third place, a position they placed at both the season-opening Boilermaker Classic and the Marilynn Smith Sunflower Invitational in October.
  • Veronika Kedronova led the Flashes in their previous outing at the Spartan Sun Coast Invitational, where the team finished tied for ninth at 13-over-par, with her fifth top ten finish in seven events this season. The sophomore concluded the tournament tied for ninth at 1-under-par, improving her team-best scoring average to 72.67.
  • Leon Takagi posted the best finish of her junior season thus far in Kent State’s previous outing at the Spartan Sun Coast Invitational. She finished 2-over-par and tied for 22nd place, recording her first two rounds of par or better this season in rounds one and two of the tournament.
  • Freshman Gracie Larsen has been consistent to open up the Spring for the Flashes. She has posted scores of 74 or better in five of her six rounds completed this Spring, including two rounds of 72 to match her season and collegiate career low. Larsen finished tied for 37th at 6-over-par at the Spartan Sun Coast Invitational.
  • The freshman trio of Larsen, Aryn Matthews, and Isabella Goyette are featured in the Kent State lineup together for the first time this Spring after each appearing in all five events in the Fall. After missing the Puerto Rico Classic, Matthews competed at the Spartan Sun Coast Invitational, posting a tied 60th finish at 10-over-par. Goyette did not compete for the Flashes at their previous outing in Florida.
  • Petra Babicova will compete as an individual this week for Kent State, marking her third appearance in three events this Spring. At both the Puerto Rico Classic and the Spartan Sun Coast Invitational, her scores improved across three rounds, culminating in a 74 and 73 respectively in round three of each event.
