New York Jets pick revealed after Geno Smith trade

In an ironic twist, a trade involving former New York Jets quarterback Geno Smith has revealed some news for the green and white.

Smith, 34, was traded from the Seattle Seahawks to the Las Vegas Raiders for a third-round pick. After a tough time at the start of his career in New York, Smith turned it around in Seattle and is an established starter.

Smith was not moved based on his performances, rather, he wanted a new contract. Per reports, Smith wanted a new contract but the Seahawks and him were not close on a deal so he was moved.

So what’s this mean for the Jets?

The Raiders traded that selection to Seattle and it is the No. 92 overall pick.

At the 2024 NFL trade deadline, New York sent a third rounder to Las Vegas for wideout Davante Adams. It was believed that the selection was the No. 73 selection, the other Round 3 pick held by the Jets, that was given up for Adams.

As it turns out, it was not, according to NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo:

Jets Wire will continue to provide updates throughout the 2025 offseason.
