Celebrity Basketball Game to Honor Jeff Addo for His Dedication to Youth and Community


Jeff Addo, a dedicated musician and community leader, will be recognized by Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich for his outstanding contributions to youth and community development. The award will be presented during a celebrity basketball game involving  at John F. Kennedy High School on April 26, 2025, from 2 PM to 6 PM.

County Executive Marc Elrich and Montgomery County are acknowledging and honoring Addo’s unwavering commitment, writing, “You have demonstrated an unwavering commitment to uplifting and inspiring young people through various initiatives, speaking engagements, and community events. Thank you for your continued efforts.”

Jeff Addo expressed his gratitude for the recognition, stating, “I believe I have demonstrated an unwavering commitment to uplifting and inspiring young people through various initiatives, speaking engagements, and community events.” His contributions include speaking engagements at local schools, participation in community events, and international outreach efforts, such as working with youth in Ghana.

Growing up in Montgomery County, Addo fondly remembers playing basketball and football in the White Oak area, where his love for music blossomed during his senior year at John F. Kennedy High School. He has since traveled the world with his music career and was honored to be the first artist to perform for the Washington Wizards DMV Music Series in 2023.

The celebrity basketball game promises to be an exciting event, featuring top local influencers, athletes, and celebrities showcasing their skills in a fun and competitive atmosphere. Attendees will have the chance to enjoy shopping with a variety of vendors, savor delicious food from local food trucks, and partake in music, giveaways, and surprises throughout the day.
