Mercedes Mone has reached a new milestone in AEW.
On May 26th, 2024, Mercedes Mone defeated Willow Nightingale to become the TBS Champion at Double or Nothing. Since then, The CEO has defended the title against some of the top women in the world including Hikaru Shida, Momo Watanabe, and Stephanie Vaquer.
By defeating Vaquer, Mone also became the NJPW STRONG Women’s Champion. At Wrestle Dynasty in Japan in January, Mone put that title on the line in a double championship match against RevPro Undisputed British Women’s Champion Mina Shirakawa. Mone emerged with the victory, adding to her accolades.
On March 21st, Mone reached another milestone as she passed 300 days with the TBS Title. The star has the second-longest reign with the championship but still has a long way to go to surpass Jade Cargill, who held the title for 508 days between January 2022 and May 2023.
Mone marked the occasion on social media, posting a photo with all of her belts captioned simply “Champion.”

Mercedes Mone Teases Major Match With ROH Star
Mercedes Mone could be set for a dream match with ROH’s Athena. Athena has set a new record for the ROH Women’s World Championship, having reigned with the title for over 830 days and counting. Recently, Mone took a shot at the star after defeating her protege, Billie Starkz.
It has since been reported that there are plans for the pair to face off in the near future, possibly as soon as Dynasty on April 6th. Despite both women being in WWE at the same time, it would mark the first time they met in a singles match.
