Atletico Madrid player, Argentine Julian Alvarez, said after the victory over Osasuna (1-0) with a goal he scored himself, today, Sunday, in the La Liga competition, that he was upset with the opportunities he wasted throughout the match, until he was finally able to score.
“I had many chances in the first half… I couldn’t score, and I was upset, especially at half-time,” the player continued.
“I managed to score in the end, and we got 3 important points, and I’m very happy.”
The goal came from a corner kick, and Alvarez said: “We have been training on this game for the past few days, and fortunately it worked. Scoring from set pieces is important, because they can be decisive in difficult matches.”
