The Taylor Ducks varsity boys and girls soccer teams swept the Caldwell Hornets on Tuesday, March 4.
Boys
The Ducks secured a 6-0 victory over the Hornets on Senior Night. Six different players found the back of the net, including Aaron Grimaldo, Walter Calvac, Diego Alanis, Alex Diaz, Rivaldo Granados, and Adan Torres.
The win marked Taylor’s sixth consecutive victory, improving its district record to 9-4. The Ducks return to action on Tuesday, March 11, against Salado.
Girls
The Lady Ducks dominated in a 5-1 victory over Caldwell. Freshman Sam Schroeder led the team with two goals and an assist.
Taylor entered halftime tied 1-1 but responded with four unanswered goals in the second half to secure the win. Kaitlin Crane, Peyton Wamble, and Avery Paulsen each added a goal, while freshman Kinzie Johnson and sophomore Analisa Arredondo combined for three assists.
The Lady Ducks, now 11-2 in district play, will face Salado on Tuesday, March 11, at 7:15 p.m.
