Ferran Torres more efficient than Robert Lewandowski & Kylian Mbappe

Ferran Torres was on target for Barcelona once again on Sunday as Hansi Flick’s side ran out 4-1 winners over Girona.

The Spain star has now notched 15 for the season in all competitions and has scored more non-penalty goals in La Liga this season than Vinicius Jr, Antoine Griezmann and Rodrygo in far less minutes.

A deeper dive into the statistics also shows just how deadly Ferran is being this season for Barcelona.

The forward is averaging a goal every 88 minutes in La Liga. That’s a better record than Robert Lewandowski (89 mins), Kylian Mbappe (106 mins), Ante Budimir (147 mins) and fellow super sub Alexander Sorloth (99mins).

Ferran also bosts a shot accuracy of 54% right now in La Liga that’s also incredibly impressive. Lewandowski is at 45%, Mbappe’s slightly better at 55%, while Raphinha’s shot accuracy is 40%

After the win over Girona, Hansi Flick made sure to mention Ferran in his post-match comments.

ā€œFor me, it’s all about the team, and I have the feeling that everyone is moving forward in that direction, and that’s great for me and helps us a lot; you can see it on the pitch. But I’m also very happy for Ferran Torres.ā€

After struggling to impress for so long at Barca, Ferran is doing a fine job this season, and finally living up to his deadly Shark nickname.
