Henry Cejudo has claimed that his vision still hasn’t fully returned following his controversial recent fight against Song Yadong.
Henry Cejudo recently returned to the Octagon after over a year out, taking on Song Yadong in a big fight in the bantamweight division.
The former UFC double champion was hopeful that with a win, he could’ve had one more title run, but unfortunately, the fight ended controversially when Cejudo suffered an eye poke in the third round.
With the poke rendering him unable to continue, the fight went to a technical decision, and ‘Triple C’ was handed his third UFC loss in a row.

Henry Cejudo claims UFC has changed rules regarding eye pokes
Since the fight, Cejudo has shared an update that he is still seeing double despite the fight having been over a month ago now.
Unfortunately, eye pokes are something in MMA that are unavoidable and will likely continue to plague the sport despite the UFC recently changing the design of the gloves to try and combat the issue.
However, following a recent conversation with the Vice President of Regulatory Affairs, Marc Ratner, Cejudo has claimed that the UFC has changed the rules regarding eye pokes.
Usually, it is the referee’s decision whether they deduct a point for an eye poke, and usually, a fighter can get away with committing multiple fouls before a point is deducted.
“I talked to Marc Ratner, and they really want to, they’re really going to make a change on eye pokes to where the warning is already out, like there are no more warnings,” Cejudo claimed in an interview with MMA Junkie.
Cejudo reveals he will only fight once more before retiring
With the Olympic gold medalist now suffering three losses in a row and coming off the back of what he claims is the biggest injury of his career, the 38-year-old has revealed he will likely retire after one more fight.
“I never really saw the sport of mixed martial arts as dangerous, and I’ve been talking to my wife, and I think this could be my last fight, man. Like one more and then that’s it. If I could run it back with Song, then I’d be happy with that, but if it’s not Song, I’d like anyone that the UFC is willing to give me.
“I want to be able to play with my kids, dude, not lose a f—— eye,” he continued.
Despite what some fans may think of Cejudo’s personality, he will undoubtedly go down as one of the greatest fighters of all time and is in the small group of fighters to have completed the feat of double champion status.
