Jake Knapp’s girlfriend shares fun photo, calling him “Mr. 59” after historic round

Jake Knapp has not been a golfer who has made headlines in recent years, nor has he been a person who has made a name for himself with his successes, nor has he been someone who has attracted attention with various scandals. He has been quietly making his way on the golf scene, believing that one day he could compete with the best, and it seems that his dream has finally become a reality. The American golfer has delighted the public by becoming the 15th player in PGA Tour history to break the 60-under-par score. Knapp two-putted on the 18th hole for birdie, securing a record 59, the lowest score in the history of the event. Of course, such a moment had to be celebrated, and what better way than to celebrate it than with his girlfriend.  His girlfriend, Makena White, shared photos from Phoenix Open this month on social media, with an interesting caption and clear pride for her boyfriend: “People watching with a side of golf ♻️,”  Makena White then shared an interesting photo of Knapp eating on Instagram, with the caption: “That’s Mr. 59 to you.” Jake Knapp© makenawhite91 / Instagram / Fair Use   Jake Knapp reacts Knapp said after the first round that he was delighted with this start, but he is still cautious, aware that it is only the end of the first round, and a lot can change in the future. Moments like this carry a huge amount of pressure, so it will be interesting to see how the 30-year-old will handle the pressure this time, especially since he doesn’t have much experience when it comes to situations like this.  “I knew obviously I had it going really early, but at the same time, that can happen and then it can kind of fizzle out pretty quickly. I thought I did a good job of just trying to focus on shot by shot and not letting what happened or what could happen affect anything. Then once I made the long putt on 15, it was like, OK, now this is kind of here.”- he said. The 30-year-old could open the door to even greater success by winning this tournament, but there’s no need to rush. There are still two days left.
