Kyle Larson is looking to earn the first “three-race weekend sweep” in his NASCAR career. On Tuesday morning, Spire Motorsports announced that Larson will drive the No. 07 truck in the NASCAR Truck Series race at Homestead-Miami Speedway on March 21. It will be the 32-year-old driver’s first of two starts in the No. 07 truck.
However, this announcement means Larson will now compete in all three NASCAR races at Homestead in over two weeks. Larson will also pilot in the No. 17 car for Hendrick Motorsports in the NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Homestead. Finally, the 2021 NASCAR Cup Series champion will drive in his regular entry with Hendrick Motorsports, completing a three-race stretch in three days.
Kyle Busch is the only NASCAR driver to “sweep” a three-race weekend, and it happened twice at Bristol Motor Speedway during the 2010 and 2017 seasons. Homestead is Larson’s best track in NASCAR, and it wouldn’t be shocking if he finds a way to win all three races from March 21 to 23.
