PGA Tour commissioner Jay Monahan has shown some optimism about getting a deal done with LIV Golf to help reunite its players with the PGA.
Professional golfer Justin Rose sat down with Yahoo Finance’s Brad Smith to discuss the possibility of a merger.
“I think the disruption that LIV has created has been good for the PGA tour. It’s been good for the PGA tour players,” says Rose, who adds that “the competition has created a bit of urgency within the PGA Tour.”
Rose would later add that the split between LIV and the PGA has impacted the fans “You’ve got a lot of talent having gone to LIV, a lot of talent still on the PGA tour. I think that’s been frustrating for the golf fan. They would like to see us come together so you really know who’s the best and you want to see the best playing against each other all the time.”
