Men’s Golf Plays Two Rounds at Daytona Beach

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – The Central Arkansas men’s golf team played two rounds at the Daytona Beach Intercollegiate, hosted by Stetson. After 36 holes, the Bears are in 11th place.
 
Noah Blaickner and Bogdan Sandrini finished the day tied at an 8-over 152. Blaickner tallied five birdies on the day, scoring a 74 in each of the first two rounds. Sandrini had three birdies of his own, and penciled in a 75 and 77, respectively.
 
Kalle Svederman finished the first two rounds two strokes back of his teammates. The Swede had three birdies through 36 holes, and clocked in with a two-round score of 154. Vukasin Suturovic and Maksymilian Bialy ended the second round tied as well, finishing 36 holes with a score of 158. Suturovic had three birdies on the day, scoring rounds of 78 and 80. Bialy also had three birdies, and round scores of 76 and 82.
 
Troy and Stetson are tied for first with one round left. Florida Atlantic is in third, three strokes behind the Trojans and Hatters. Troy’s Brantley Scott and UNCW’s Preston Worch are tied for first on the individual leaderboard, both one stroke under par. Troy’s Nick Fowlkes, Stetson’s Mans Boje and Austin Peay’s Patton Samuels are all tied for third place.
 
The Bears will play one more round on Tuesday to close out the Daytona Beach Intercollegiate. For complete stats and standings, visit the Tournament Page.
