Perfect scenario unfolds for Bears at No. 10

The Chicago Bears have plenty of needs to address this offseason, specifically in the trenches on both sides of the ball. But the biggest focus remains the offensive line, which needs to replace the entire interior and could even upgrade at left tackle. The Bears will have no shortage of resources to shore up the offensive line for quarterback Caleb Williams with roughly $80 million in salary cap space and four selections in the Top 75 of the 2025 NFL draft. In a new mock draft from CBS Sports’ Kyle Stackpole, the perfect situation unfolds in the first nine selections where Chicago manages to snag the top offensive lineman on the board in LSU’s Will Campbell with the 10th overall pick. This after two quarterbacks, two cornerbacks (and receiver) and five defensive linemen are taken. The first nine picks played out perfectly for Chicago, which would like to do everything possible to protect franchise quarterback Caleb Williams. With every offensive line prospect available, the Bears select Will Campbell for his smooth athleticism, technical ability and experience (38 starts over the past three seasons).Outside of right tackle Darnell Wright, the Bears have four starting jobs that aren’t guaranteed in 2025 — both guard spots, center and even left tackle, where Braxton Jones is recovering from a fractured fibula. While Campbell was a three-year starter at left tackle for the Tigers, he’s projecting to be a guard at the pro level. There’s a good chance Campbell is off the board by the time the No. 10 selection rolls around. But if the board falls just right, and he’s sitting there for the Bears, it’s an easy pick.
