Future Hall of Famer Albert Pujols has his eyes set on landing a managerial job in Major League Baseball.”Whenever the opportunity comes, if there is something knocking this year or next year, I mean, why not?” Pujols said Sunday, according to Jeff Fletcher of SoCal News Group.Pujols also confirmed he’ll lead the Dominican Republic at the 2026 World Baseball Classic, per MLB.com’s Rhett Bollinger.The legendary slugger recently got his feet wet, managing Leones del Escogido to a win in the Caribbean Series over Mexico’s Charros de Jalisco. He also led the team to victory in the Dominican Winter League.Pujols retired as a player following the 2022 season after becoming the fourth member of the illustrious 700-home run club. The 45-year-old is eligible for induction into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 2028.
