Quick Recap: It was a tough day for the Chattanooga Mocs over the opening 36 holes of the Gators Invitational. The squad is 12th with a 595 total shooting 295 over the opening 18 to sit in 10th before 300 in round two.
The Mocs are four shots behind Mercer in 11th and just seven our of the top 10 with FIU 10th 588. Florida Atlantic is a distant 13th at 612.

Rundown
- 295 is the best opening round score for the Mocs in the event in the squad’s sixth all-time appearance. Cooper led the effort with 71 followed by Foresta’s 74 and twin 75s from Fernandez-Tagle and Healey.
- The afternoon’s 300 was paced by a level-par 70 from Fernandez-Tagle. Foresta completed another 74 with Cooper and Healey adding 78s.
- 595 over 36 holes here is the second-best 36-hole total for the program at the Gators. The low was 592 en route to a fourth-place finish in 2010 behind then-medalist Emma de Groot.
- Stevenazzi earned the first ace of her golfing career on the par three eighth hole. She played an 8 iron from 145 yards out. The last competitive hole-in-one for a Moc was Healey last year at Vanderbilt.
- Mark Bostick Golf Course was stingy today. The counting cards accumulated just 14 birdies on the day (7 Rd1/7 Rd2). Fernandez-Tagle led the way with five.
