Arun Gray, a UK-based sports scientist, suggested that Trump may have knock knee (bilateral knee valgus), a condition common in taller individuals and those with weak glute muscles, in a conversation with Daily Mail. While generally harmless, it can contribute to knee strain, hip discomfort, and arthritis. Other medical professionals, however, pointed to more serious possibilities.
Dr. Veronika Matutyte, a gerontology expert, speculated that Trump’s gait could indicate lumbar spinal stenosis, post-stroke disturbance, or even a neuromuscular disorder such as Parkinson’s disease or ALS. Meanwhile, Dr. Rimas Geiga suggested the former president might be exhibiting signs of peripheral neuropathy or mild cerebellar dysfunction, which could affect coordination, as reported by Daily Mail.
This is not the first time Trump’s mobility has come under scrutiny. Videos from 2023 and early 2024 have captured similar instances of him appearing to drag his leg, limp, or struggle with balance at rallies and public appearances. The discussion gained traction in 2020 when he was seen dragging his right leg during a visit to a North Carolina lab.
