UFC Hall of Famer makes ‘disrespectful’ Jon Jones vs Tom Aspinall prediction

Everyone has their thoughts on the upcoming UFC heavyweight unification clash.

Jon Jones is usually a shoo-in when he fights due to the fact that he’s the greatest of all time.

However, interim heavyweight champion Tom Aspinall has many people convinced he could be the first man to truly beat ‘Bones’ after taking out the likes of Alexander Volkov, Sergei Pavlovich, and Curtis Blaydes with ease.

No one is more confident that Aspinall will beat Jones than the best British fighter in UFC history.

Michael Bisping shares ‘disrespectful’ fight prediction

Michael Bisping believes Aspinall will make it look easy when he finally fights Jones.

The UFC Hall of Famer understands that people may take his prediction as disrespect towards the American, but he’d be surprised if Aspinall didn’t KO to submit Jones inside one round.

“Listen, Jon Jones is great, and you can’t deny what he’s done in the octagon, the career that he’s had, and he’s technically unbeaten,” Bisping said during a recent interview with boxing legend Carl Froch.

“However, everyone meets their match eventually. I think Tom Aspinall is the new generation, he’s the new breed, and he will go down probably as the greatest mixed martial artist that we’ve ever had.

“He’s elite as a heavyweight. A lot of the heavyweights are very good, they’re very strong, they’re powerful, but they’re not as quick and as agile and as technical as Tom.

“Tom’s the whole package. Tom’s like a heavyweight Georges St-Pierre. He’s got no weak areas. He’s got absolute knockout power, super disciplined, super agile on the feet, he finishes everyone really, really quickly.

“However, he hasn’t gone up against somebody like Jon Jones because the competition in the heavyweight division isn’t necessarily there on a technical level.

“Jon Jones is, and Jon Jones has fought way better competition than Tom, but Jon hasn’t fought anyone like Tom, either.”

“I would be very surprised. And this sounds disrespectful, but I’d be very surprised if it got out of the first round.”

Michael Bisping names MMA’s ‘biggest k—head’

In the same interview, Bisping branded a UFC legend who knocked him out the worst person in MMA.

During their chat, Froch asked ‘The Count’ to name the ‘biggest k—head’ in MMA.

Bisping immediately began talking about one of his former opponents, Tim Kennedy. However, he soon realized that the man who left him partially blind while using performance-enhancing drugs is much more worthy of the title.

He asked after ripping into Kennedy: “Who else is there?

“Oh, Vitor Belfort. A Brazilian steroid machine. You know, one of the biggest cheats in all the sport.

“I’ve never taken a steroid in my life. If you’re gonna step into a cage or a ring with a human being, it’s supposed to be about who is the better-skilled guy? Who is the better fighter? Who is willing to train their a— off?

“Now we have contracts, and we have drug testing and all that type of stuff. More importantly, as a man, you should be like, ‘I’m just trying to beat you fair and square’. By getting up in the morning, going on a run, going to the gym – but this p—- was on every steroid under the sun.

“So, forget Tim Kennedy. Vitor Belfort [is the biggest k—head in MMA].”
