Women’s Golf Wins River Landing Classic

WALLACE, North Carolina – The UNCW women’s golf team claimed its sixth River Landing Classic team championship by three strokes ahead of Eastern Michigan and Princeton on Tuesday afternoon at the River Landing Golf Course.

The Seahawks posted a 297-284-297=878 team score to win the 25th River Landing Classic. UNCW has previously won the tournament in 2004, 2007, 2010, 2020 and 2023.

Princeton’s Olivia Duan captured individual medalist honors by three strokes ahead of fellow Tiger YanJun Liu, who won the 2023 edition of the Classic. UNCW’s Hannah Altman rounded out the top three with a 73-70-71-214 scorecard.

Joining Altman in the top 10, were Victoria Levy (5th place), Minouche Rooijmans (9th place) and Ella Levy (T-10th place). UNCW’s Jordan Salisbury also earned a share of 10th as an individual.

The Seahawks resume their spring calendar at the Notre Dame Clover Cup in Litchfield Park, Ariz., from Mar. 10-12.
