Turnstone hosting 2025 ‘Hoosier Thaw’ power soccer invitational Saturday, Sunday

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) – Turnstone (Center for Children & Adults with Disabilities) is hosting its 2025 ‘Hoosier Thaw’ power soccer invitational this weekend.

On Saturday and Sunday, Premier, Champions, Presidents, and Founders division power soccer teams from Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Missouri, and Ohio will be at the organization’s 3320 North Clinton Street location.

Power soccer brings the game of soccer to the basketball court as 4-player teams use power wheelchairs to dribble a ball across the court to score in between an opposing team’s goal posts.

Turnstone says the invitational, open to all United States Power Soccer Association teams, will guarantee teams four games with cross-division play possible.

Saturday’s first games are set to start at 10 a.m., with the last games beginning at 4:15 p.m.

On Sunday, the first games are set to start at 8 a.m., with the last games beginning at 1 p.m. and 2:15 p.m. on their respective courts.

Admission to the event is $3/day or $5/weekend, with volunteers and children entering for free.
