El Dorado kicked off the soccer season Tuesday against White Hall. The Wildcats won the varsity boys’ game 5-1 with the Lady Wildcats falling 3-0 at Memorial Stadium.
El Dorado’s Caleb Jacobs won in his first game as head coach.
“Our boys played extremely hard and deserved every bit of this win,” said Jacobs. “We have been working hard since November and it’s exciting to start the season off with the win.”
Jay Reep, Julian Marquez, Caden Meadows, Justin Obiozo and Sebastian Marquez all scored goals for El Dorado.
The Lady Wildcats couldn’t find the net in their opener.
“No excuse,” said Coach Neville Matthews. “First game as a team, I have a few things to fix.”
