Bayern Munich midfielder Joao Palhinha returned to partial training on Friday.
Palinha has been out of action for Bayern since November with a right adductor injury, the club said.
Bayern said in a statement: “Palinha’s return is approaching. The Portuguese international suffered an adductor injury (right) in mid-November during the international break and has been out since then.”
“The 29-year-old was able to take part in part of the team’s final training session before the Wolfsburg game in Munich on Saturday,” he continued.
After joining Bayern last summer, the defensive midfielder has established himself in coach Vincent Kompany’s starting lineup alongside Joshua Kimmich after competing with Aleksandar Pavlovic and Leon Goretzka.
The player has made 13 appearances since arriving at Bayern in the summer of 2024, coming from Fulham in a deal worth $52.5 million.
The Bavarians lead the league by four points from defending champions Bayer Leverkusen.
