Imminent deal paves the way for spoiling Real Madrid’s free transfer

Bayern Munich’s management is about to deal a blow to Real Madrid’s ambitions in the transfer market, by depriving them of their target to strengthen the team.

Press reports had indicated during the past period that the Royal Club is planning to include Canadian international Alphonso Davies, Bayern star, in a free deal at the end of the current season.

The Athletic newspaper revealed today, Friday, that Bayern Munich is close to reaching an agreement with its player to renew his contract.

The newspaper explained that there are some small details that the two parties are seeking to agree on before signing a new contract.

It pointed out that the ongoing negotiations are paving the way for the left-back to sign a 4-year contract.

According to the same newspaper, today witnessed a fruitful meeting between the player’s agent and Bayern officials, which resulted in improving some of the financial terms of the new contract.

Davies (24 years old) joined the German club in the summer of 2018, coming from Vancouver Whitecaps of Canada for $13.5 million.

Davies established himself in the Bavarian team’s formation after he converted from a winger to a full-back, becoming a mainstay for the historic German champion.
