Paris Saint-Germain have completed the signing of Georgian Khvichia Kvaratskhelia, Napoli player, during the current winter transfer period.
Saint-Germain explained in an official statement that Kvara will wear the number 7 shirt, and that he has become the first Georgian player in the club’s history.
The Italian journalist, Fabrizio Romano, posted on his official Facebook account a photo of the Georgian international holding the French champions’ shirt after signing his transfer contracts with the team.
The back of the shirt reads (2029), the expiration date of Kvaratskhelia’s contract with Saint-Germain, which will extend for four and a half years.
Kvaratskhelia bid farewell to Napoli fans yesterday, Thursday, with an emotional message, in preparation for his transfer to the French club.
For his part, Santi Aouna, a journalist for the ” Foot Mercato ” website, stated on his page on the X website that Napoli refused to include Milan Skriniar, the Paris defender, in an exchange deal with the French club, preferring to receive 75 million euros in exchange for selling his player.
It is noteworthy that the 23-year-old joined the Italian club in the summer of 2022, coming from Dinamo Batumi of Georgia for a fee ranging between 10 and 12 million euros.
